Hope & Cope and the Segal Cancer Centre at the Montreal Jewish General Hospital developed the Breast & Bone Health Program. Made possible through a 3-year grant from the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation, this innovative program was coordinated by a nurse and a physiotherapist who worked with the cancer care team to offer women screening, assessment, as well as research-informed activities to protect, improve, and care for bone health in an oncology setting. The program was led by Dr. Carmen Loiselle ( and her team (Suzanne O’Brien, MA, Marize Ibrahim, MSc, PT, & Garnet Lau, MSc, RN). It covered areas such as public awareness raising, care coordination, education, exercise, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications.

The materials developed through the program are now downloadable through this website.
